Detailed Description:
Pranayama means to harness one's life force through means of breath control. This workshop series begins with an overview of ujjayi breathing and engagement of the bandhas. It moves on to learning, experiencing and teaching more expansive pranayama techniques such as sivananda breath, kapalabhati, alternate nostril breathing, surya bedhena breath, sithali, uddiyana and bramari breathing. Each type of pranayama has a different intention.

Trainees will learn to use these pranayamas effectively to achieve a desired effect in their students. Knowing the intention and methodology of various pranayama techniques, will allow the trainee to employ the techniques effectively.

This training will contribute 5 credit hours toward the 300 Bridge program and/or YogaAlliance CE credits.
