Mandi Sykes
Mandi is known for her fun, non-judgmental teaching style and compassion-centered philosophy. She weaves thought-provoking meditations throughout her classes, and works to bring yoga philosophy into her teaching in a fun and accessible way. She encourages growth of the physical and spiritual self, and brings attention to the interconnectedness to each other, to the world and to the universe. In Mandi's class, you can expect a hot room, no fans and a fun and move inspired play list. Community and breath are two aspects you will constantly hear her speak to in every class and laughing or at least cracking a smile is inevitable! Her goal is to leave you feeling inspired, aware, sweaty and wrung out.

Mandi is a native Houstonian, the oldest of 4 siblings and she loves spending time with her large Hispanic family and two adult sons Devin and Dale. She is a RYT 200 trained yoga instructor and has also successfully completed Kids Yoga Teacher Training; Devotional Teacher Training; In-Powered Teacher Training; Baptiste Institutes's Level 1, Journey Into Power and Baptiste's Art of Assisting. Her yoga journey started with grief after she lost her husband of 8 years and her job in an industry over 25 years. She was lost in so many ways and didn't even know it. It was her first Baptiste inspired flow that gave her the ability and permission to be herself, in what ever form that took. She began to understand that her emotional and physical journey was her own, on and off the yoga mat. She is finally doing what she is meant to do on this earth: give people the space and love to discover who they are, what ever that means.
