Roger Rippy
Roger's classes are inspired by life: lively, invigorating, often challenging and FUN! He teaches powerful and playful vinyasa flow and hot yoga classes with an emphasis on breath, alignment and feeling. Students in his classes feel supported, empowered, inspired and connected to themselves in a whole new way. Roger encourages his students to take the lessons learned on the mat into everyday life and to practice yoga and live life wholeheartedly.

Roger is originally from Fort Worth, Texas, where practicing yoga was then not commonplace and where it could quite possibly have gotten you beaten up, and found his way to Houston in 1995 for school and has grown deep roots here. Just weeks after running the Houston Marathon, he attended his first hot yoga class (which he thought was way harder than the marathon) with his now wife, Albina, and felt that first time a previously unfathomable depth of relaxation and stillness during savasana. He has been a student of yoga ever since and has practiced a variety of yoga styles over the years. He is a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher at the 500 Hour Level and has completed Baron Baptiste's Levels 1-3 Bootcamp Teacher Trainings, One Day Immersions and Art of Assisting Trainings. He also completed Ana Forrest's Advanced Teacher Training in 2012 and has completed several intensive workshops with Ana. His most recent training was a 10-day Bhakti Flow Immersion with Rusty Wells in San Francisco, where he learned to chant, sing and flow. His primary teachers are Baron Baptiste, Catherine Allen, Ana Forrest, Rusty Wells, his students and his three children. He has been practicing yoga since 2001 and teaching yoga since 2008 and he learns something new about yoga and himself in every class.
