Catherine Allen, E-RYT, has been teaching yoga since 2001. She is an inspirational and motivational teacher who gives you newfound confidence in your body's ability to heal, strengthen, and evolve both on and off the mat. Catherine will support you through your personal journey on the mat so that you can walk your life path as a more self-empowered, passionate, and breath-filled person. Catherine's classes are slowly to moderately paced and lively. Everyone will be challenged in a safe and nurturing environment. By way of intelligent sequencing combined with her deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, Catherine's classes are designed to help you breathe more skillfully and to sweat out and strip away stubborn layers of stress that stiffen your mind and body. You will play with the edges of your perceived limits, make new new discoveries about yourself, and leave class feeling completely cleansed and rejuvenated.

Catherine's most influential teachers include Ana Forrest, Robert Boustany, Ann Hyde, Monti Mayrend, and Dharmavirsingh Mahida, with whom she studied intensively in India. Catherine has completed teacher trainings with Lex Gillian (200 hours), Robert Boustany (200 hours), and Ana Forrest (Foundation 200 hours & Advanced 74 hours). She lives in Houston, TX, practices yoga with her awesome husband, and continues her advanced yoga studies under the tutelage of her beloved canine and feline companions!
